                                                           P.P.

For sometime I have been constantly unwell and continually busy. So I have not been able to send you my views on your opera –– Hence  I am delighted to have this opportunity of informing you my desire to see you –– If, therefore, you will give me the pleasure of calling on me the day after tomorrow in the morning, I shall be extremely delighted; and we will discuss the opera and also another one which I should like you to write for me –– When we meet you will realize that my silence was not do to any disparagement of your talents.

                                                                 Your most devoted
                                                                       Ludwig van Beethoven
